Product overview

Data Integrator is a search and collaboration application that enables easy access and retrieval of E&P data by providing a single point of access for various petrotechnical applications. This release is focused on enabling workflows to integrate ProSource E&P data management and delivery system and the Studio E&P knowledge platform for the Petrel E&P software platform and the Techlog wellbore software platform.

Data Integrator provides a single, unified HTML5-based web interface for data managers and E&P application users to manage various data-centric solutions, enabling them to know at a glance which data is available in the organization and where it is located spatially. It addresses the common problem of identifying and visualizing data within the E&P organization and works across multiple heterogeneous data stores.

New features and enhancements

Data Indexing

• The Settings page for Data Integrator administrators has refresh indexing to synchronize data sources. 

User Interface

• The project name list in the global filter provides data source information. Project names are highlighted for the selected data source and provide server details in the case of project name duplication within the same data source.
• Data Integrator administrators can trigger a refresh indexing job on the Settings page to synchronize data grid items with data sources. The status of the job is listed on the Job management page.
• Bulk data points view is available for deviation surveys from the Studio for Petrel 2018 version onwards.
• A user-defined job name is introduced for scheduled transfer jobs to enable easy monitoring and management of scheduled jobs.
• The transfer history correctly reflects the owner of the executed job for the scheduled transfer. 

Entitlement—Studio for Techlog platform

• Data Integrator administrators can initiate a data transfer job to a target Studio for Techlog platform repository as long as they have write access to the repository.

Transfers

• A preferred unit system can be selected to transfer data either in the metric or the English unit system for each individual Studio for Petrel platform to Studio for Techlog platform transfer job.
• Blocked curve type variables from the Studio for Techlog platform can be transferred as discrete well logs in the Studio for Petrel platform.
• A Studio for Petrel platform explicit deviation survey that was transferred to the Studio for Techlog platform is blocked when a user attempts to transfer it back to the Studio for Petrel platform.
• Studio for Petrel platform MD/Azimuth/Inclination deviation survey transferred to the Studio for Techlog platform is properly transferred back to the Studio for Petrel platform as MD/Azimuth/Inclination type.

Version

• ProSource system support is upgraded from 2018.1 to 2018.2. 

Data Loader

• The Details panel on the Edit Parameters page is dynamically adjusted to the browser resolution and zoom level.
• Granular error messages with information, warning, and error levels are introduced in the loader workflow.
• The Document viewer for uploaded files is provided for quick validation.
• The parameter box accepts a custom string on top of the list based on the configuration. 

Performance

• Performance has improved for data loading and transfer for the Studio for Techlog platform WELL entity. 

Deployment

• Data Integrator 2019.3 is installed as a dedicated website for its service.
