Product overview

Data Integrator is a search and collaboration platform that enables easy access and retrieval of E&P data by providing a single point of access for various petrotechnical applications. It offers a single, unified HTML 5 based web interface for data managers and E&P application users to manage various data-centric solutions enabling them to know at a glance which data is available in the organization and where it is located spatially. It addresses the common problem of identifying and visualizing data within the E&P organization and works across multiple heterogeneous data stores.

This release is focused on integrating workflows from the ProSource E&P data management and delivery system  and the Studio E&P knowledge platform into the Petrel E&P software platform and Techlog wellbore software platform.

You can use Data Integrator to:

• Discover: search, browse, and filter data.
• Manage: manage all data from a single portal.
• Deliver: transfer filtered data to an asset team or domain user.

New features and enhancements

In this release, you can perform the following workflows:

Data transfers

In this version, we focus on the Studio platform for the Petrel platform and the Studio platform for Techlog platform synchronization workflow.

• Transfers are now supported for ProSource 2016.3 or ProSource 2018.1 to the Studio platform for Petrel 2017.5 or the Studio platform for Petrel 2018.2.

Data transfers between the Studio platform for Petrel 2017.5 or 2018.2 and the Studio platform for Techlog 2017.2 or 2018.2 repositories are now available with several bug fixes and the following features:

• Well header: bilateral transfer including history items.
• Well logs: bilateral transfers for 1D continuous logs.
• Deviation surveys: transfers from the Techlog platform to the Petrel platform.
• Well tops: transfers from the Petrel platform to Techlog platform.
• The Transfer by filter option now supports data type selection.
• Transfer now skips overwrite if the destination item is equal or in a newer state.
• There have been multiple performance improvements.
• A job scheduling bug has been fixed to enable precise scheduling definition.

Bug fixes related to data transfers

Important bug fixes have been made for data integrity and system stability with the following improvements

• CRS is now correctly captured when data is transferred from the Studio platform to the Petrel platform that has GCRS for its repository storage.
• Spud date and completion date are now correctly recognized. The Techlog platform project crash after transferring items from the Petrel platform is fixed.
• Null value handling is improved.
• Marker transfer from the Studio platform for the Petrel platform now handles multiple picks with the same interpreter and surface name.
• Deviation surveys are now transferred correctly without interfering with the well header.
• The Skip well header option is now the default option. 

User interface

• A Cancel sort feature has been introduced on the data grid.
• An Export to Excel feature has been introduced on the data grid.<
• The My profile view is now available on the Settings tab to visualize your information and PSFO project entitlements and access rights.

Data visualization

• A new data type has been introduced: ProSource wellbore schematics.

Loader

• The data loading workflow was introduced in the Data Integrator 2018.1 release, and this release has the following new features:
• The document upload workflow has been migrated to Data Integrator.
• The ability to pass individual user account information to the ProSource system has been introduced. It is now possible to correctly format an uploaded document name.
• The ability to configure the mandatory attributes list has been introduced.

User management

• A user management workflow was introduced in the Data Integrator 2018.1 release, and this release has the following new features:
• The user can now edit user role assignments.
• There is now a license check when an invalid admin account is making a transfer.
• It is now possible to display user information, PSFO project entitlement, and access rights.
• The maximum number of user search results can now be configured.
• The migration of PSFO Project users has been enabled.
