This tech day is over three consecutive days which gives you the option to attend a single day or any combination of the full three-day course depending on your simulation needs.
Each day focuses on one of the core workspaces within Symmetry: Process (VMGSim) Workspace, Pipe Workspace (Multiphase Pipeline Networks), and Flare Workspace – Flaresim (PRV, Flare Header Networks and Radiation Calculations).
This is a complimentary course and is open to anyone who would like to attend. Attendees will need to have Symmetry installed before the start of the course. Prior to the course, we will provide temporary licenses of Symmetry where required. For proper usage of Symmetry, attendees will also need Microsoft Visio installed on their computer. Additional information regarding PC requirements will be provided upon registration.
Day 1
Symmetry Process (VMGSim) Workspace Tech Day
9:00am - 1:00pm Central Time
This tech day is valuable for both new and experienced users as our trainers will walk attendees through property package selection, flow sheeting, model reporting, and more with focus on 'tips and tricks' to enhance the user experience. You are guided through the creation of a series of typical simulation case examples in Symmetry covering oil & gas processing, refinery units, petrochemical facilities, gas treating with glycols and amines, fluid characterization, NGL recovery and fractionation.
Day 2
Symmetry Pipe Workspace Tech Day
9:00am - 1:00pm Central Time
Attendees will learn how to maximize the potential of Symmetry's Pipe workspace by leveraging focused capabilities such as:
- Shape file import model building,
- Advanced fluid characterization,
- Elevation profile import and filtering,
- Pigging and slugging studies,
- And more.
Day 3
Symmetry Flare Workspace & Flaresim Tech Day
9:00am - 1:00pm Central Time
Day three introduces to the unparalleled capabilities of the Symmetry Flare & Flaresim. With a single application engineers can now size relief devices, evaluate inlet, outlet and header system pipelines hydraulically, develop radiation calculations and analyze stack height along with the flare tip. We will also show how Symmetry Flare can link seamlessly to Flaresim for detailed KO Drum sizing and dispersion calculations (flammability and toxicity).
