Description

Gas hydrates cause major and potentially hazardous flow assurance problems in production operations. A typical area of concern is multiphase transport lines from wellhead to the production facility where low seabed temperatures and high operating pressures increase the risk of blockage due to gas hydrate formation.

The Olga simulator predicts the risk of hydrate formation and provides the operating envelope for preventing formation of hydrates in well stream transport, process facilities, and design interventions in the event of solid hydrate formation.

Typical use cases

  • Predicting the occurrence of hydrates and estimate the amount of hydrates formed
  • Using hydrate slurry technology
  • Modeling hydrate slurry flow
