Symmetry process software platform captures all aspects of your models from reservoir to product distribution. The Symmetry platform offers a unique opportunity to model your process workflows in one environment, integrating pipelines, networks, and facilities models while ensuring consistent thermodynamics and fluid characterization across the full system. This approach, combined with a simple way to switch between steady-state and dynamic modeling, enables companies to optimize processes in upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, maximizing profits and minimizing capex.
Symmetry 2021.2 incorporates new features and improvements from previous versions. Symmetry 2021.2 includes a complete integration with MySep for separator entrainment rating in steady-state and dynamic models. The Symmetry Flare workspace includes the updated Flaresim 2021 version.
Symmetry 2021.2 enhances its hybrid modeling functionality with new options. Hybrid simulation allows combining rigorous models and machine-learned models in the same simulation. There are two hybrid modeling solve modes: molecular reduced order model (ROM) and external machine learning (ML). Molecular ROM encompasses the previous ROM functionality. External ML allows using external machine-learned models to replace the rigorous calculations in Symmetry platform. Unit operations in Symmetry platform can import a machine-learned model, generated outside of the platform, to replace or enhance the internal physics-based calculations.
Symmetry 2021.2 will be available soon within the Petrotechnical Suite in the DELFI cognitive E&P environment.
Some of the key new features are listed below.
A full, detailed list of all new features as well as improvements and fixes is available in the “What's New” document in the Symmetry platform installation.
