New Software Release

Techlog Production Logging 3.1 Now Available

Wednesday, 16 January 2019

Product details

The Techlog Production Logging plug-in enables integration of production logging data with other petrophysical and geological information in the Techlog wellbore software platform.

Release details

One of the key goals of asset operations is conformance management, whereby the production and asset performance meets the established goals of the field development plan. Examples of nonconformance are high water cuts and GOR, sand production, and unexpected breakthrough of injection water. Some of these require downhole zonal inflow diagnosis and targeted interventions.

We link existing Techlog Production Logging functionality seamlessly to a NODAL package in PIPESIM steady-state multiphase flow simulator to efficiently perform what-if-scenario evaluations leading to ranked outcomes and recommendations. The method developed in Techlog Production Logging 3.1, Well Performance Advisor, enables this by performing what-if scenarios to compute new flow rates which are used in a net present value calculator to determine the economics of the intervention.

Target audience

The Techlog Production Logging plug-in brings benefits to all geoscientists and engineers, including petrophysicists, geologists, reservoir engineers, and production engineers.
