Omega seismic data processing software is a flexible, scalable system that allows for processing and imaging on a single workstation or massive compute clusters, or from a single 2D line to an immense 3D seismic survey. Omega software accurately and efficiently processes the following:

• Land, marine, and transition zone data
• Time and depth data
• 2D, 3D, and 4D surveys
• Isotropic and anisotropic (TTI and VTI) velocity fields
• Multicomponent data
• Reservoir to basin scale projects

Linux Installation Steps:

1. Login as Omega installation administrator, i.e., the owner of Omega 2022.1ext.

2. Omega 2022.1ext is installed in directory: "/wg/omega/2022.1ext" 
   copy "Omega_Flatirons2022_240215.ext.tar.gz" to "/wg".

3. Run the following command in "/wg"
       tar xvpfz Omega_Flatirons2022_240215.ext.tar.gz

   It will create a directory structure as following
       /wg/Flatirons/2022.1
 
   which contains:
       Flatirons.jar
       lib/
       plugins/

4. Remove the temporary copy of Omega_Flatirons2023_240215.ext.tar.gz

Windows Installation Steps:

1. Assume Omega 2022.1ext is installed in directory: 
    X:\PARENT_DIRECTORY\Omega\2022.1ext  

2. Unzip "Omega_Flatirons2022_240215.ext.tar.gz" to "X:\PARENT_DIRECTORY".
   It will create a directory structure as following
       X:\PARENT_DIRECTORY\Flatirons\2022.1
 
   which contains:
       Flatirons.jar
       lib\
       plugins\

Note:

The recommendation of Omega installation is to use "/wg" as "/PARENT_DIRECTORY" on Linux,
use "C:\Program Files\Schlumberger" as "X:\PARENT_DIRECTORY" on Windows.

If the recommendation is not followed, user needs to change the configuration of Flatirons startup menu for Omega Desktop. Please see the Installation Guide for details.
