Schlumberger introduces an incremental update of the Avocet production operations software platform desktop application and the Avocet Mobile Data Capture app.

The Avocet platform provides a single, integrated platform that connects global and remote operations for a broad range of disciplines, including field staff, production and reservoir engineers, production accountants, and administrators. The Avocet platform collects, stores, and displays all types of production operations information, such as surface, wellbore, wellhead, and facilities data, with measurements, including well test data, fluid analyses, transfer tickets, and tank inventories, to enable users to view and track forecasts, production targets, budgets, and other KPIs at a corporate, business unit, or geographical level.

The Avocet Mobile Data Capture app enables you to mobilize your field workforce to streamline the process of production operations data collection. With the mobile app’s user-friendly functionality and on-the-go convenience, your field workforce can easily collect, validate, and share production operations data.

New features for this release

Mobile client

• Collect data for gas meters that require monthly readings with a new data capture screen. This screen has form fields that differ from those in the data capture screen for gas meters that require daily readings. The app pulls data on the meter from the server to automatically display the correct screen to the field technician.
• View source type easily on new data capture screens. Data in the Avocet Mobile Data Capture app is gathered from various sources, such as Data Loader, SCADA, user, and carryforward. In the desktop application, each source type can be associated with a color. This version of the Avocet Mobile Data Capture app includes data capture screens that enable field technicians to conveniently distinguish source type by color.
• Get initial support for iPad with cellular capability. We are now providing basic compatibility with iPads that have WiFi and cellular connectivity.
