Schlumberger has strengthened its well construction software portfolio with the acquisition of Wellbarrier—a small privately owned software company in Stavanger, Norway. Wellbarrier software offers a patented tool for well barrier illustrations and management based on the globally recognized two-barrier philosophy for well integrity, allowing us to bring additional capabilities in our well construction software solutions. Over time, Wellbarrier software is expected to be extended to other offerings in the DELFI environment covering other well lifecycle activities beyond the DrillPlan solution.
