Tracer reporting

Improvements have been made to the tracer reporting in Eclipse 300

  • Tracers with a carrier name of ‘H2O’ are now mapped to the water phase
  • Consistency for the summary keywords between Lagrangian and non-Lagrangian tracers has been implemented
  • Implemented smart handling of tracer carrier in dead oil in a component model. It is treated as being in the oil phase rather than the wet gas phase.

New and improved functionality

For both the Eclipse 100 and Eclipse 300 simulators

  • Tracers with a carrier name of ‘H2O’ are now mapped to the water phase
  • Reporting output has been improved to allow for i,j,k indices with more than three digits, improving readability of output such as messages and tables in the PRT file.
  • Reporting output for quantities has been made more robust to handle extreme values.

For the Eclipse 100 simulator

  • Handling of date table keywords and DATES keywords containing multiple dates has been improved.
  • Handling of local grid refinements (LGRs) and LGRLOCK has been made more robust.

For the Eclipse 300 simulator

  • The algorithm used for generating K-values via the KVGEN keyword has been improved to reduce incorrect phase identification.
  • The coefficients in the Trangenstein formula for water density have been enhanced, providing consistency between Eclipse 300 and the Intersect™ reservoir simulator.
  • Error handling and reporting for INCLUDE files has been improved.
  • Permeability modifications made in the SCHEDULE section can now be included in connection factors calculated after the modification.
  • PVT extrapolation reporting has been made more robust.
  • Occurrence of duplicated messages by invalid block keywords in the SUMMARY section have been reduced, making for more sensible reporting.
