A. Definitions
AI Service: a product or service, or a component thereof, provided to Customer by SLB that uses artificial intelligence.
Prompts: Inputs, queries, and instructions, in whatever form, submitted by User to the AI Service.
Output: Results, decisions, actions, output, responses, and content generated or implemented by the AI Service.
Terms used but not defined herein shall have the meanings given to them in the Agreement.
B. Customers and Users using an AI Service must ensure that they:
1. Implement appropriate human oversight of Output.
2. Use the AI Service only in accordance with the Documentation and all applicable laws and regulations.
3. Monitor performance and outcomes.
4. Make Users and Output recipients aware that the product or service includes an AI Service and that, accordingly, there may be inaccuracies in the Output.
C. SLB expressly prohibits Customers and Users from using the AI Service and any Prompts or Output:
1. To compromise the safety of children.
2. To compromise, or access without authorisation, critical infrastructure.
3. To incite violence or hateful behavior.
4. To comprise an individual’s privacy or identity.
5. To violate, or encourage the violation of, the rights of others.
6. To engage in illegal activity.
7. To create or spread harmful content or misinformation.
8. For political purposes.
9. For surveillance or censorship purposes.
10. For fraudulent, invasive, defamatory, infringing, abusive, or predatory purposes.
11. To deploy subliminal, manipulative, or deceptive techniques to distort behavior and impair informed decision making.
12. That exploits any of the vulnerabilities of a natural person or group of persons (e.g. age, disability, or socio-economic status).
13. For biometric categorization purposes.
14. To assess the risk of an individual committing a crime.
15. To create or expand facial recognition databases through the untargeted scraping of facial images from the internet or CCTV footage.
16. To infer emotions of a natural person in work and educational institutions, save for medical or safety purposes.
17. For ‘real-time’ remote biometric identification systems in publicly accessible spaces for law enforcement purposes.
18. To remove or alter any content or notices indicating the content was generated by the AI Service.
