Integrated mineral deposit analysis
Integration of paragenetic, microstructural, and large-scale structural analysis can provide new exploration models and both appraisal and production strategies. RDR conducts consultancy, service work, and contract research on the structural controls on mineral deposits, based on regional-scale to micro-scale analysis. Over the years, more than 40 mines and exploration targets have been evaluated in detail.
Analysis and interpretation of seismic data
Seismic data provides exploration tools and the platform for planning optimum mine design, as well as the safest and most cost-effective development strategies. Analysis of seismic reflection data is an invaluable tool for understanding the geological structure of strata-bound or layered ore deposits. RDR has extensive experience of such analyses, with evaluation of more than 20,000 km² of 3D seismic data for client production and exploration programs covering mineral deposits and hydrocarbon plays.
Structural characterization of mineralization
Accurate understanding of geological structure is vital to effective exploration, accurate reserve calculation, and cost-effective production. Geological structures influence or control most ore deposits. Pre- and syn-mineralization structures may control the primary distribution of ore, whilst post-mineralization structures may modify or dissect ore deposits.
