Seismic interpretation: the first step
Through the use of proprietary seismic enhancement and edge-detection algorithms, structural imaging of seismic data is optimized before conducting structurally focused seismic interpretations. RDR works both as independent interpretation contractors and as structural-seismic consultants, advising on and reviewing client interpretations.
Model development: structural framework
RDR develops robust structural geocellular models that are delivered seamlessly into our customers work program. A combination of leading software packages are used to tailor the workflow to the specific project and customer needs. We conduct primary builds, rebuilds and updates, and QCs of existing models.
Our comprehensive set of uncertainty modeling tools allow a wide variety of geological scenarios to be risked and ranked, such as inaccurate fault throws, fault mislocation, stratigraphic uncertainty, and fault property variability.
Incorporating uncertainty during fault seal analysis has the potential to rapidly identify critical, high-risk seal or flow zones. RDR's core workflows have proved invaluable in defining key risk zones and associated uncertainties applied to both field and prospect.
RDR is at the forefront of the development and application of fault property incorporation into reservoir simulation models. Where applicable, RDR provides fault transmissibility multiplier data for direct input into our customers' flow simulation models.
