The Houston Digital Technology Theater has a total of five rooms and can hold conferences for up to 60 people. Large, high-resolution displays combine with HD videoconferencing and advanced visualization capabilities to provide a truly collaborative environment.

Petrel room

The Petrel room is the principle visualization and collaboration room. Capacity: 35 people (60+ people when Petrel and Ocean rooms are combined) Technology:

  • Rear-projected screen (16 x 9 ft), multi-source enabled
  • Two side screens
  • HD video conferencing
  • Barco ClickShare technology, enabling content on mobile devices to be displayed wirelessly

Ocean room

The Ocean room is a fully equipped conference room connected to the Petrel room via a sound-proofed folding wall. Capacity: 14 people (seated at a V-shaped table facing the screen) Technology: Front-projected screen (6.5 x 10.5 ft), multi-source and windowing-enabled Barco ClickShare technology, enabling content on mobile devices to be displayed wirelessly

Avocet room

The Avocet room is a dual-purpose conference room and operations center. Its primary focus is to show production and drilling operations, presenting scenarios from a ‘morning call’ to real-time drilling or production operations. Capacity: 11 people Technology: 4x2 video wall comprising eight 50-in cubes (13 x 5 ft screen size) Touch-enabled, wall-mounted panel Video conferencing via front- and ceiling-mounted cameras Barco ClickShare technology, enabling content on mobile devices to be displayed wirelessly

Studio room

The Studio room is a high-tech playground, allowing clients to test and work with Schlumberger software. Capacity: 15 people Technology: Dependent on the software to be tested.

Techlog room

The Techlog room is designed for conferences and meetings. The primary display can be used to provide an operations room environment or an exploration workroom with 3D capacities. Capacity: 8 people Technology:

  • 2x2 cube wall
  • Two 47-in (1,920 x 1,080 resolution) LCD panels.
  • Barco ClickShare technology, enabling content on mobile devices to be displayed wirelessly
